Q: How close to the beach are The Marina Apartments?

A: Very close – it is only about 30 metres. Direct access to the sea front and beach is made via a footpath leading from our quiet private road.

Q: Do the apartments have any additional sleeping?

A: The ‘bed capacity’ of each apartment is as stated in this website. Some apartments have a sofa beds and fold down Wall Beds.

Q: Do we need to bring our own bed linen?

A: No, we provide all bed linen. This will be clean and freshly laundered when you arrive. If you are staying for more than a week, we will provide a change of bed linen after the first week.

Q: Do you provide towels?

A: Yes, each guest will be provided with one set of towels (one bath and one hand towel).

Q: What about beach towels?

A: We do not provide beach towels.

Q: Do I need to bring shampoo, toilet rolls etc?

A: We provide a complimentary toilet roll for all bathrooms/shower rooms. You will probably wish to bring your own supply of bath/shower soap and shampoo.

Q: Are there laundry facilities?

A. There is a laundry room equipped with a washer/dryer.
These are token operated (£1 per wash). Please request tokens when booking.

Q: What facilities are there in the kitchen?

A: There is an electric hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer and a microwave. We provide all the usual cutlery, plates, glasses, pans, tea towels etc. Washing up liquid is also provided.

Q: Is there a television?

A: Yes, there is a TV in all apartments. They all receive the current digital Freeview channels.

Q: Is there a telephone?

A: There is a pay telephone in the reception area.

Q: Is there internet access?

A: Yes we provide free Wi Fi connection via our wireless router.

Q: Is my property centrally heated?

A: Each apartment has electric heaters. The apartments have electric metres and are coin operated £1.

Q: How many sets of keys are there?

A: You will be provided with two sets of keys.

Q: What time can we arrive on our first day?

A: The apartment will be ready any time after 3.00 p.m. on the day of your arrival.

Q: What time must we leave the last day?

A: Please ensure you vacate the property by 10.00 a.m. at the latest.

Q: If we arrive late, will we be able to shop for food?

A: Yes. The Co-Op supermarket is generally open until around 9pm. (4pm Sunday).

Q: Is there a cot or high chair at the property?

A: We have a range of travel cots/high chairs etc. Please let us know when you book what you require, so we can put them in place before you arrive. Please note: we do not provide bedding or bed linen for the travel cots. Bed guards are also available for the bunk beds.

Q: Is there car parking at the property?

A: Yes, each apartment has its own private parking space at the front of the property.

Q: What about unloading and loading the car?

A: The parking is next to the property entrance.

Q: Are there instructions and details at the apartment if we have questions after we arrive?

A: Yes, there is a comprehensive Information File at the property which you will find on the kitchen table. This should answer any questions you may have. It also contains details of emergency phone numbers.

Q: Do I need a car to get around Ventnor?

A: No. The Marina Apartments are ideally located within easy walking distance of all the shops, cafes, restaurants/pubs in Ventnor. It is also close to the beach. If you want to explore further afield a car is useful, although not essential, as there is a good bus service to many destinations.

Q: Are you able to smoke in any of the properties?

A: No, all of our properties are non-smoking.

Q: Do you allow pets in the properties?

A: Dogs are welcome in apartments 1, 3, 4, and 6.

Q: What else do you provide?

A: We have tried to provide everything you will need for your stay at The Marina Apartments. The apartment kitchens are fully equipped, and all have electric hobs and ovens, microwaves, hair dryers, ironing boards and irons. We also provide a Welcome Pack, which includes a local newspaper, milk and tea/coffee. Food can also be pre ordered through Tesco’s/Co-Ops Home Delivery Service.

When is the apartment serviced?

A: The apartment will be cleaned and serviced prior to your arrival. If you are staying for two weeks you are entitled to a change of linen and towels during your stay.
